2-day Skills-building Workshops: Become More Fluent And Confident In ACT

I have created these intensely practical skills-building workshops due to popular demand: so many people have requested further training, above and beyond my introductory and advanced ACT workshops. To become fluent and confident in ACT takes ongoing practice, so I have carefully designed this workshop to help take you to the next level.

You should not enroll unless you meet the following criteria:
1. You are familiar with the ACT model.
2. You have a basic grasp of case conceptualization in ACT.
3. You have read at least one ACT textbook and/or The Happiness Trap.
4. You have used ACT with at least a few clients.
5. You have attended at least one introductory 2-day ACT workshop (not necessarily one of mine).
6. You have attended one of my advanced 2-day ACT workshops. (This is not absolutely essential, but it is strongly recommended.)
The workshop will be intensely practical; through role play, experiential exercises, case conceptualization, and live demonstration, you will be able to observe, practice, reflect on, and develop further the core skills of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.
In this workshop, you will learn how to:
- Move from ‘chunky, clunky’ ACT to ‘fluid, flexible’ ACT
- Improve your own confidence, ACT-style
- Strengthen and utilize the therapeutic relationship
- Cultivate simple and naturalistic defusion and acceptance skills
- Improve your ability to rapidly conceptualize cases
- Interpret the ACT model in a new way
- Dance around the ACT hexaflex
- Get clients in touch with their values more naturalistically
- Motivate your most difficult cases
- Turn boring, frustrating sessions into vital, engaging encounters
- Turn ‘getting stuck’ into a golden opportunity for growth
- Turn 'resistance' into fertile ground for change
The fee for a 2-day workshop is $395, or $335 for students.
Lunch is not included, but the workshop will be in a location where there are plenty of nearby cafes.

Fees: $395 (Students $335)
For cancellations: Up to 7 days in advance, payment will be refunded, minus a $50 administration fee. At less than 7 days notice there will be a refund of 50% of the fee.
